Backend Engineer · 3+ Years
Building reliable systems at scale.
devops@ubuntu:~$
I build backend systems that handle millions of requests without breaking a sweat.
My Journey
- 2023 · The Beginning
- Started my professional journey as a backend developer. Built my first production API with Java Spring Boot. Learned that “it works on my machine” is never a valid excuse.
- 2024 · Deep Dive
- Dived into microservices and distributed systems. Dealt with my first production outage at 3 AM. Discovered the power of observability and proper monitoring.
- 2025 · Growth
- Started contributing to open source (Spring Cloud, Apache Dubbo). Spoke at QCon about high-performance API design. Learned that good code is read more often than it is written.
- 2026 · Present
- Building infrastructure that serves 12k req/s with 99.9% availability. Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing code daily. Still learning, still breaking things (in staging).
Tech Stack
Go · Python · Java · Spring Boot · Spring Cloud · Kubernetes · Docker · Redis · PostgreSQL · MySQL · AWS · Apache Kafka · RabbitMQ · gRPC · REST · Linux · Bash · Git · CI/CD
My Principles
- Pragmatism over perfection — Ship working software. Polish it later.
- Observability is a feature, not an afterthought — If you can’t see it, you can’t fix it.
- Good code is readable code — Write for the person who will maintain it after you.
- Learn in public — Share what you build. Teach what you learn.
Beyond the Keyboard
When I’m not coding, you’ll find me:
📖 Reading sci-fi and system design books
🏔️ Hiking with my laptop (just in case)
🎮 Playing strategy games (victory is in the details)
Let’s build something great together.
